Bleeding Gums Murphy

Ahoy hoy everyone!

Yes, I'm sorry I skipped the month of March and half way through April without even a hello. March was busy both good and bad but nothing new or really worth mentioning. So I'll skip to the "good" stuff, and by good stuff, I mean my pain!

What is it this time? Well, yesterday I had the pleasure of having a gum graft done under on of my lower front tooth. the procedure itself took about an hour. Fairly painless, the worst part was when the periodontist had to scrape my tooth and it was like fingernails on a chalkboard. inside my mouth...

Luckily I had the foresight (excuse) to take a day off for the procedure. So I rested most of the day. My palette was still bleeding a few hours later ad the graft site is still bleeding a bit now as I right this too. So far though all normal. I just really hope it heals up quickly and properly so I won't have to go through this anytime soon.

Oh and before I forget. The absolute worst part of it all is that I can't bite into anything for three weeks! So it's a mostly liquid diet for now, until I feel confident enough I can each small bits of solid food without ruining the graft. So of course, now I'm craving for a big fat juicy burger...... argh!

Hope everyone's doing well and enjoy your food for me!

!@$%@ Technology!

Ahoy hoy everyone!

That's right I'm in a curmudgeony mood today. Technology nothing but a pain in the ass!

Oh Bo Bo don't say that! I can hear some of you say.
Sure, it's given us wonderful things like the microwave, televisions and porn.... I mean the internet!

But with all that computerized sloth and lust there is a dark side. Pains and headaches, endless calls to customer support, scouring the internet to find some sort of solution. Brain trying to come up with solutions, anger and just arrrrhgh......

Case in point, I recently got a mobile porn device (smartphone). First week no problems. I mean battery life is a lot less then I was used to, but, hey, shiny new toy! Well unfortunately that battery took a turn for the worse over the weekend and went from a 100% charge to 0% overnight. I'm sorry, but I shouldn't have to wake up in the middle of the night to plug in my phone and do so every couple of hours with limited use.

I did talk to my service provider and while it does sound a little fishy, hey suggested I try to kill my apps first and if that doesn't help, do a factory reset, before they ship it off to have it checked. Steps which I will do eventually. But seriously, when the phone is asleep it shouldn't be wasting so much power! Please feel free to suggest any Android apps that might help. I currently have, Juice Defender and recently got Watch dog and DS Battery Saver.

But wait, there's more! Today I was skyping with a friend. And everything was going well until right in the middle, my webcam stopped. No video, no little light saying it was on. Right there in the middle of the call....
I tried rebooting Skype, nope. Restart my laptop, still nothing. So I try to look around, but honestly, I'm too tired to really look into it. So as a last resort, I actually shut down my comp for about a few minutes. Next thing you know, a miracle happens and it works. %$!!# technology....

Although, there is a good side. Without technology, I wouldn't have met you wonderful lot :D

And even better, I received a gift from the wonderful Kat!

I will be putting that awesome mug to good use! That's the appropriate size for tequila shots right???

Welp hope you all have a good week everyone. And don't forget to show technology who's boss!

Groundhog Day

Love that movie!

Ahoy hoy everyone!

So, according to the closest groundhog to my city, it'll be a long cold winter. Which sucks donkey balls as We've been mostly in the -20C range past two weeks, sometimes dipping to -40C with the windchill!
We had a brief glimpse of spring for a day, but that was quickly dashed with snow by the end of it. Think it's time to put my flask to use. Drinking booze is a good way to stay warm right?

All of this freaky weather did a number on me and I am now fighting off a cold. So lots of hot tea and being lazy for me this weekend. Which has been a fun one so far, cold notwithstanding. Hung out with my sis, ate lots of food and watched a few movies. T'was fun :)

And with that, a short entry today, since I'm starting to feel tired. Have a good week everyone, and let's hope for an early spring!

Ahoy hoy everyone!

Hope 2013 is starting out great for everyone out there! Mine was spent with close friends, food, booze and games. It was fun and a great way to start the New Year, even though I am absolutely tired today, heh. It's not quite over for me yet either as there's a big dinner planned for supper in a few hours with my family and apparently other big meals during this week.

And this is a perfect way to segue into my resolutions for this year.

I usually don't do this, but this year I have a few small things I want to improve upon and they are achievable, so I thought I'd write them down so I could look in on them when I needed a reminder. as a bonus, I'll vaguely split them into my favourite sins, cause well I feel like it....

So over Christmas I went to visit a really close friend (also the person that drama was revolved around in the past, I'll get a little more into it later). Had a great time, and as usual, with her, gluttony is a sin we enjoy a lot together. It's a surprise we do not end up weighing 500lbs. Although over the past week, I did add on an extra 9lbs. It's not too much, but I want to nip that in the bud. So after the holiday meals are done, it's back to eating sensibly and exercising. It's something that I usually do, but I do fall off the horse often, and I want to try to keep it a little more constant this year. This out of all my resolutions should be the easiest to maintain as long as I'm healthy and no "pains" re-occur.

I can be a very lazy person, I know, shocker! I also know it won't change overnight, but I do want to be a little more active. Whether it be at home and definitely at work. I always do what needs to get done, but I want to procrastinate a little less. Concretely, that means picking a task at work that needs to get done and just work on it until it is, even if I have plenty of time to do it or if it's tedious. As for home, it means spending a little less time online and doing other things. Now my home is far from disrepair, but it's little things like even just playing more of the games I have collected over time. The internet has become a crutch for me and while not at addiction level, it's time to re-discover some other old "loves". Whether it be movies or games or whatever might strike my fancy.

Well this resolution is a bit of a stretch to call it lust, but I have a theme going dammit and I won't stop now. This will be the hardest resolution to keep since a lot of it is base on emotion. Essentially, I need to think about what I want in a relationship. I've had lots of drama this past year, but more fun and happiness. So while I don't regret a single second, I do need to think things through. the first step to this is to truly be happy single for a bit and the hard part, is to be ok with it. I do think I am in a better headspace thanks to 2012, I just need to 2013 to cement that in. As I said, this is the tricky part because emotions are always a bitch and you never know who can catch your eye and turn you until a babbling idiot (as opposed to my regular idiocy).

So there you have it, my resolutions to try and curb my favourite sins somewhat. While I will still indulge in them (especially the first and last :D  ) I will do my best to follow these resolutions and hopefully be an even better Bo Bo at the end of it.

Hope everyone's had a great New Years Day! Cheers!

Ahoy hoy everyone!

It's been a hectic last few days and will be a very busy week or two with little internet time from me, so it's a tad early but I just wanted to wish the best to you and yours :)

Hope you all enjoy time with family/friends/escorts (I don't judge). Be merry and be safe!

Here's to a new year that will be awesomer than the old one!

These are just a few of my favourite sins....

Ahoy hoy everyone.

So I had a friend visiting the city for the first time this week. My first out of town guest and I got to play tour guide! was a little nervous, I would hate to be a bad host, but apparently, she had fun, so it's all good. the one thing I told her though before she arrived, was that she needed to bring her appetite, because if there's one thing this place is good for, it's food.

The awesome artery clogging Poutine!

And I love food.... which brings me to the title of this post.

fod and I have a love hate relationship. In that I love food, will try almost anything at least once. The hate part comes in food being so delicious, I sometimes don't really know when to stop. Often I will eat to the point of feeling discomfort, meat sweats (you're welcome for that lovely image) and just all around feeling of "Oh my god I will never ever eat so much in my life again!"

Gluttony, my friends, it's a sin. One that I indulge in frequently. I'm not proud of it, and it's a wonder I do not way 400lbs. But what can I say, it's all so nummy!

How can anyone say no to this...

And in the spirit of gluttony, the holidays are upon us... and I will be out of here for a little bit :) So just in case, have a happy [insert holiday here]!
