Ahoy hoy everyone!
Yes, I'm sorry I skipped the month of March and half way through April without even a hello. March was busy both good and bad but nothing new or really worth mentioning. So I'll skip to the "good" stuff, and by good stuff, I mean my pain!
What is it this time? Well, yesterday I had the pleasure of having a gum graft done under on of my lower front tooth. the procedure itself took about an hour. Fairly painless, the worst part was when the periodontist had to scrape my tooth and it was like fingernails on a chalkboard. inside my mouth...
Luckily I had the foresight (excuse) to take a day off for the procedure. So I rested most of the day. My palette was still bleeding a few hours later ad the graft site is still bleeding a bit now as I right this too. So far though all normal. I just really hope it heals up quickly and properly so I won't have to go through this anytime soon.
Oh and before I forget. The absolute worst part of it all is that I can't bite into anything for three weeks! So it's a mostly liquid diet for now, until I feel confident enough I can each small bits of solid food without ruining the graft. So of course, now I'm craving for a big fat juicy burger...... argh!

I had a tetnis booster shot two days ago. Still can't roll onto that side while I'm sleeping without crying in my sleep (as reported by the husband) or move my arm up over my head.
Now I know why babies are so cranky.
Hope you're feeling better soon. Gum grafts are no fun, or so I'm told.

I thought my root canal treatment was bad, but at least i could eat solid food.

@sunshine - Thanks! I tried solid food todya, but I think I may have over done it cause my gums started to be sore again.
@Mynx - Thank you. I can technically eat sold food if I want to. Just have to avoid using the area that got the graft. Easier said then done lol
